Brian P. Alcott
Brian Alcott is a Houston-based writer and storyteller whose work explores the intersection of people, place, and human experience. Through narrative nonfiction and reported storytelling, he examines themes of history, memory, community, and identity. He is particularly drawn to stories that reveal how people shape their surroundings, navigate challenges, express creativity, and find connection and belonging.
Current Projects
Currently working on two freelance features for Houstonia magazine, exploring the stories of people shaping their communities and pursuing their creative ambitions.
The stories include a refugee farming initiative in Houston's Alief neighborhood and a local glass artist who built his own studio to pursue his craft.
